On this day 05/07/1966: Chas Chandler of The Animals goes to see Jimi Hendrix perform at The Cafe Wha? in New York. He went on the recommendation of Keith Richards girlfriend Linda Keith. Chandler was highly impressed and became his manager, bringing Hendrix to England in the process.
