On This Day 06/05/1965

On This Day 06/05/1965: Mick Jagger and Keith Richards composed the opening guitar riff for the song "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction". They were in a hotel room in Clearwater, Florida. Richards had bought a Gibson fuzz-box earlier that day. The song would give the Rolling Stones their first number 1 hit in the US and became one of the most popular rock songs of all time.
