On This Day 13/02/1970: Black Sabbath released their debut album "Black Sabbath" in the UK. It went to number 8 in the UK chart. The album was released in the US on 01/06/1970 and reached number 23 on the Billboard charts. It was recorded during a single day on 16/10/1969 at Regent Sound Studios, London. The album is considered to be a bridge between blues rock to the start of heavy metal.
