On This Day 14/01/1966: David Jones released his first recording under the name David Bowie. The song was called "Can't Help Thinking About Me" and was released on Pye Records. He had released songs before under his own name. The first being "Liza Jane" and "Louie Louie Going Home" on the Vocalion Pop Label on 05/06/1964.
