On This Day 17/03/1972: West, Bruce and Laing made their first live appearance when they played at Foster Auditorium, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The group was comprised of Leslie West, Jack Bruce and Corky Laing. It was part of a 30 date US tour and was started before they even had their record deal finalised. Their debut album "Why Dontcha" came out later in the same year.
